Marc Jacobs Beauty asked us to create a campaign for the launch of the Enamored Lip Gloss Stick that would both honor the signature brand image established by globally recognized advertising and yet still be accessible to a young, diverse, and digital-first audience.

In partnership with Marc Jacobs Beauty, DBA crafted a multi-disciplinary campaign that took traditional beauty imagery out of the studio and on-location in a fresh, spirited way. The unique design of the Enamored Lip Gloss Stick enables it to be applied easily and on-the-go. With this key feature as inspirational starting point, we paired each shade with their own model, location, and mood—all while providing elevated content for Web, Social, and Digital Advertising.

By setting aside traditional beauty imagery, we were able to create unique and personality-driven content using a “snap-shot” approach inspired by the heritage of Marc Jacobs print advertising. The stills created for each shade included a range of both clean, focused crops for Web and Ecommerce—and more editorial, storytelling moments for Social Media.

In addition to still photography, DBA also created a variety of short video content to illustrate the signature design and benefit of the Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Lip Gloss Stick—and highlight the diverse cast and locations featured in the campaign.
